I never put together that there were actually two Newman performances at the Georgia Music Educators Association conference last weekend in Savannah: Richard Clary led the Georgia All-College Band in Moon by Night, and Joe Brashier led the Valdosta State Faculty ensemble “Exit 18″ in my chamber sextet, The Vinyl Six.
